Bruce Maag is the Chief Executive Officer of the International Phoenix Group in Delphos, Ohio. Since 2001, Mr. Maag has led a treatment foster care (TFC) company that is dedicated to helping underserved children with severe emotional disturbances. As a licensed counselor and a social worker in the state of Ohio, Bruce Maag currently serves 325 children with offices in 3 states, and he has developed and made operational TFC youth service programs in 16 states and provinces throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Furthermore, in 2006, Mr. Maag’s International Phoenix Group was named one of Inc. Magazine’s top 500 fastest growing companies, and it was recognized as one of the outstanding new businesses of Allen County, Ohio.

Before beginning four decades of work in the human services field, Bruce Maag studied psychology at The Ohio State University in Columbus. After receiving his Bachelor of Science, Mr. Maag went on to earn a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Dayton in Ohio.

In addition to having spent his professional career in the diverse areas of treatment foster care, psychiatric healthcare, education and development, consulting, and youth counseling, Bruce Maag has worked with various community service groups and charitable causes. Mr. Maag frequently donates to the American Correctional Association, the American Personnel and Guidance Association, the American Youth Work Center, the National Council on Crime and Delinquency, and the St. Charles Catholic Church. Additionally, Bruce Maag was the founder of the Allen Council for Youth Service Agencies, the Ohio Youth Service Bureau Association, and the Ohio Coalition of Foster Care. He cofounded the Ohio Youth Services Network and the National Board of Directors of the North American Foster Family-Based Treatment Association. He often has volunteered to coach youth sports organizations, such as volleyball and little league baseball teams.
